The Order Sons of Italy in America is the largest and longest-running organization for Italian-Americans in the United States. Established in 1905, the organization nows boasts some 700 lodges and over 600,000 members throughout the country. With an emphasis on preserving and promoting Italian Heritage, OSIA has established scholarships for students, encourages the study of the Italian language, has a philanthropic branch called The Sons of Italy Foundation and helps strengthen ties between the U.S. and Italy.
